7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th grade Boys Basketball team picked up their 10th win of the season last night on the road at Blackford, 48-25. Another strong second half and all around team effort helped the Bears pull away. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 22 and Myles Oliphant and Jed Ferguson each added 6. The Bears are back in action Thursday at home, as they host the Quarterfinals of the MEC tournament. 8th Grade: The 8th grade boys lost to Blackford last night 61 to 38. The boys got outscored 24 to 7 in the 1st quarter and were not able to recover. The boys kept fighting throughout the game. Maddox Taylor led the Bears with 15 points followed by Carson Siekmann chipping in 7. The Bears host a quarter final game in the MEC tournament on Thursday night facing the winner of Daleville and Cowan.
