7th Grade: The 7th grade Lady Bears continued their winning ways last at Wes-Del with a 39-12 victory. The young Bears have bought into the whole defense concept holding the Warriors scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Ada Wagner, Lillie Moery and Brynlee Dumpert played outstanding floor games contributing to the victory. The scoring was led by Gracie McCreery 14, Bristol Goad 8, Claire Cheesman 7, Izzy McGrath 4, Mati McConnell 3, Mila Morris 2 and Landry Taylor 1. The Bear's continue the MEC tournament on Saturday against Eastern Hancock. 8th Grade: The 8th Grade Lady Bears traveled to Wes-Del on Thursday night and lost 32-24. MC trailed by 12 late in the 4th quarter but cut the lead to 5, ultimately running out of time for the comeback. Lucy Huston led MC in scoring with 6, Brynlee Dumpert had 5, Claire Cheesman had 4 and Gracie McCreery had 3. Arianna Carroll, Elena Simms, Ada Wagner and Lillie Moery all contributed defensively. The Bears play host to South Adams on Monday night.
