7th Grade: The 7th grade girls continued their winning ways last night at home defeating the South Adams Stars 44-6. In last week the ladies have found their stride on defense which carried over to the offense as team hit a season high 7 three point shots to go long with 80 percent from the free throw line. Brynlee Dumpert didn't score but was a big part of the team defense. Scoring for the night was Landry Taylor 10, Claire Cheesman 9, Gracie McCreery and Mati McConnell 6, Mila Morris 5, Izzy McGrath 4, Lillie Moery and Ada Wagner 2. 8th Grade: The 8th Grade Lady Bears hosted South Adams on Monday evening and came away with their 10th victory of the season, beating the guest Starlites 47-31. The Bears got off to a cosmic start with a 13-2 lead after the first and never looked back. Great defense and rebounding was key to the victory. Lucy Huston led MC with a season high 22 points. Gracie McCreery added 13 points and Landry Taylor had 4. Elena Simms, Lillie Moery, Mati McConnell and Brynlee Dumpert all had 2. Ada Wagner contributed with great defense and Arianna Carroll played a great game with season highs in minutes, rebounds and steals. The Lady Bears travel to Selma on Thursday for an MEC matchup.
