7th Grade: The 7th grade girls traveled to Selma last evening and continued their winning ways with a 38-8 victory over the Braves. Ada Wagner, Lillie Moery, Mati McConnell and Brynlee Dumpert were key to lopsided turnout by playing outstanding defense and only allowing one shot per possession. The scoring was led by Mila Morris 10, Izzy McGrath 9, Gracie McCreery 8, Claire Cheesman 5, Landry Taylor 4 and Bristol Goad 2. 8th Grade: The 8th Grade Lady Bears traveled to Selma on Thursday evening and fell to the Braves, 41-24. Mila Morris led the Bears in scoring with 10, Izzy McGrath had 6 to go with several blocked shots, Lucy Huston had 5 points and Landry Taylor had 3 to go along with her efforts on defense. All 13 girls saw the floor and played hard. MC travels to Union City next Thursday. Go Bears!
