7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th grade Boys Basketball team defeated the Northeastern Knights by a score of 44-35. A strong 1st and 3rd quarter helped the Bears earn their 13th victory of the season. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 19 and Myles Oliphant and Weston Grove added 8. The Bears return to action Thursday at Union. 8th Grade: The 8th grade boys lost to Northeastern last night 52 to 38. A slow first half resulted in a 10 point deficit at halftime. The scoring picked up in the 2nd half as the Bears kept pace with Northeastern but couldn't close the gap. Pierceton Erwin with 12 and Conner Baker with 11 led 6 players in the scoring column. Next up is a trip to Union on Thursday night.
