7th Grade Girls Basketball wins the Randolph County Championship

The 7th grade girl's basketball team finished their outstanding season by winning the Randolph County tourney Saturday and finishing 19-0. The wasn't without a bit of a set back as Lillie Moery had broke her wrist the previous day and Landry Taylor was unable to play due to an illness. In the first game the ladies defeated a scrappy Driver team 36-24. Izzy McGrath led the scoring with 11 to go along with multiple block shots. Mati McConnell had 9, Gracie McCreery 8, Mila Morris 5 and Claire Cheesman 3. In the championship game the girls had their best offensive output of the season by defeating Randolph Southern 63-29. Knocking down a season tying high of 7 three pointers. All 8 players scored led by Claire Cheesman with 21, Mila Morris 13, Gracie McCreery 8, Izzy McGrath 7, Mati McConnell 6, Bristol Goad 4, Brynlee Dumpert and Ada Wagner 2.
