Varsity: The Golden Bears lost to conference rivial Blue River on homecoming 50 to 33. The Vikings and the Bears both got off to slow starts at the end of the 1st quarter the score was 8 to 5 Vikings. The scoring picked up in the 2nd quarter and at halftime the score was 23-17 Vikings. In the first half the bears missed a bunch of easy baskets. In the 3rd quarter the bears came out of the locker room and in a hurry scored a quick 5 points to cut the lead to 1 for the Vikings. But the Vikings came right back down and hit a 3 to go back up 4. The Bears tied it up with 330 to to in the 3rd but after that Blue River scored the next 6 to lead 32-26 at the end of 3. Blue River hit 4 3 pointers in the 4th quarter to pull away from the bears. The bears got outscored in the 4th quarter 18-7. The bears were led in scoring by Cole Munchel with 12. He also added 10 rebounds. Hayden Taylor added 10 points. Easton Foster added 8 points and 8 rebounds. JV: The JV Bears beat the Vikings Friday night 45 to 34. The bears overcame 18 turnovers to win. The bears were 16 of 24 from the foul line. They outscored the Vikings 15 to 8 in the 4th quarter to pull away for the win. Justus Ullom led the bears with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Carter Duncan added 7 rebounds.
