Big Fifth Inning Leads Monroe Central Varsity Bears Past Blue River Valley By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears defeated Blue River Valley 11-4 on Thursday thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning. Mason McCreery drew a walk, scoring one run, Conner Baker singled, scoring two runs, and Caleb Luedike tripled, scoring three runs. Monroe Central Varsity Bears opened the scoring in the first after Lane Wilson singled, scoring one run. A walk by McCreery extended the Monroe Central Varsity Bears lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning. Zentz singled to center field following a 7-pitch at-bat, which helped Blue River Valley tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
