GameChanger Recap: Monroe Central Varsity Bears Stymied By Cambridge City Lincoln Varsity Eagles By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears couldn't keep up with Cambridge City Lincoln Varsity Eagles and fell 17-7 on Saturday. Cambridge City Lincoln Varsity Eagles got on the board in the top of the second inning after Allison Clayton singled, scoring one run, Samantha Bell singled, scoring one run, Addyson Pitcock drew a walk, scoring one run, Lexie McPheeters singled, scoring one run, and Paige Pitcock singled, scoring two runs. A double by McPheeters, and a single by Reilynn Ferguson helped Cambridge City Lincoln Varsity Eagles extend their early lead in the third. McPheeters earned the win for Cambridge City Lincoln Varsity Eagles. The hurler gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out 13 and walking two. Aleiyah Davis pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The hurler surrendered 11 hits and nine runs (six earned) while, striking out none and walking one. Kloee Brannan took the loss for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking two. Kyra Brockman started the game for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The righty surrendered seven hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking five. Raegan Quattlebaum, Jayme Brannan, Haidyn Dumpert, and Davis each collected one hit for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Quattlebaum and Brannan were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Quattlebaum, Ailey Moon, and Brockman each stole multiple bases for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Monroe Central Varsity Bears had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.
