GameChanger Recap: Monroe Central Varsity Bears With Tough Game Against Northeastern By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears couldn't keep up with Northeastern and fell 11-1 on Monday. Monroe Central Varsity Bears got on the board in the top of the first inning after Myles Oliphant singled to left field, and Isaac Middleton grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Northeastern made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after Logan White tripled, scoring two runs, and Moore grounded out, scoring one run. Riley Isaacs earned the win for Northeastern. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Logan Walker took the loss for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The hurler went four innings, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking four. Oliphant and Middleton were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Levi Pence led Monroe Central Varsity Bears with two hits in three at bats. Cam Gipson, White, Kaiden White, Blake Waters, and Moore each collected one hit for Northeastern. White and White each drove in two runs for Northeastern. Gipson stole two bases.
