Varsity Softball falls to Shenandoah

GameChanger Recap: Monroe Central Varsity Bears Fall After Strong Showing By Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears had trouble keeping up with Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball in a 16-0 loss on Tuesday. Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tarran Mills scored after tagging up, and Olivia Hinesley singled, scoring two runs. An error, a double by Gabrielle Patrick, and an error helped Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball extend their early lead in the second. A single by Olivia Watson, an error, and a double by Patrick helped Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball extend their early lead in the third. Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Watson homered to left field, scoring three runs, an error scored one run, and Patrick doubled, scoring one run. Hinesley earned the win for Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball. The starter allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Kyra Brockman took the loss for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking none. Kloee Brannan stepped in the circle first for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The pitcher surrendered nine hits and 14 runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one. Raegan Quattlebaum and Darian Duncan each collected one hit for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball amassed 11 hits in the game. Watson and Patrick each collected three hits for Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball. Watson and Patrick each drove in three runs for Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball. Hinesley and Alyssa Toffolo each collected multiple hits for Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball. Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball stole four bases in the game. Shenandoah Lady Raider Softball were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Aleyna Sharritts had the most chances in the field with six.
