Monroe Central Junior High Stymied By Daleville By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Junior High had trouble keeping up with Daleville in an 10-2 loss on Thursday at Monroe Central Jr./Sr. High School. Daleville got on the board in the top of the first inning after Lucas Haskett singled to right field, Carson Bates doubled down the left field line, Cole Wagner singled to right field, and Rayden Frye walked, each scoring one run. Daleville added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Wagner drew a walk, scoring one run, Trace Fritz was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and a passed ball scored one run. Alex Middleton pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Monroe Central Junior High. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) while, striking out seven and walking three. Collin Baker began the game for Monroe Central Junior High. The starter surrendered five hits and seven runs (five earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking eight.
