Haidyn K Drives In 4 To Lead Monroe Central Middle School Past Tri By GameChanger Media Haidyn K drove in four runs on three hits to lead Monroe Central Middle School past Tri 12-5 on Friday. Haidyn hit an inside the park home run in the first inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the sixth inning, scoring two. Monroe Central Middle School scored seven runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory. Brynlee D was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Haidyn tripled, scoring two runs, Lucy H drew a walk, scoring one run, Alexa T drew a walk, scoring one run, and Delainee W drew a walk, scoring one run. Monroe Central Middle School got on the board in the first inning after Haidyn hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs. Tri tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a triple by Paisley L, and a wild pitch. A ground out by Grace R gave Tri the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the second. Lucy singled to center field, which helped Monroe Central Middle School tie the game at three in the top of the third. Monroe Central Middle School took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Ivy P singled down the left field line, and Tri dropped a third strike, each scoring one run. Monroe Central Middle School committed an error, which helped Tri tie the game at five in the bottom of the fifth. Delainee earned the win for Monroe Central Middle School. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and five runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking seven. Lexi C took the loss for Tri. The starter went five and one-third innings, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on eight hits, striking out nine and walking nine. Monroe Central Middle School piled up eight hits in the game. Izzy M collected two hits for Monroe Central Middle School in three at bats. Monroe Central Middle School had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Alexa and Lucy led the team with two free passes each. Lucy stole three bases. Hadleigh R and Paisley each collected one hit for Tri. Paisley and Grace each drove in one run for Tri.
