Monroe Central Varsity Bears Falls To Wapahani Varsity Raiders By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears could not keep pace with Wapahani Varsity Raiders 6-3 on Tuesday. Wapahani Varsity Raiders opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Wapahani Varsity Raiders first got on the board when Clair Murrell singled, scoring one run. A single by Journey Mains extended the Wapahani Varsity Raiders lead to 6-0 in the top of the second inning. Zoey Koger earned the win for Wapahani Varsity Raiders. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two. Kloee Brannan took the loss for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The reliever went six and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out three and walking one. Kyra Brockman began the game for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The righty surrendered two hits and five runs (two earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking two. Aleiyah Davis went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Mains went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Wapahani Varsity Raiders stole four bases in the game. Wapahani Varsity Raiders turned one double play in the game.
