Monroe Central Varsity Bears Roll Past Randolph southern By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears easily dispatched Randolph southern on Saturday, 16-0. Monroe Central Varsity Bears got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Haidyn Dumpert drew a walk, scoring one run, Zoie Hood drew a walk, scoring one run, and Darian Duncan doubled, scoring two runs. Monroe Central Varsity Bears scored seven runs on one hit in the bottom of the second inning. Jayme Brannan was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Raegan Quattlebaum drew a walk, scoring one run, Duncan drew a walk, scoring one run, Kloee Brannan drew a walk, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run. Monroe Central Varsity Bears scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. Brannan singled, scoring one run, Hood doubled, scoring one run, Aleiyah Davis doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Duncan singled, scoring one run. Brannan earned the win for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Wolfal took the loss for Randolph southern. The starting pitcher went four innings, giving up 16 runs (10 earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking nine. Monroe Central Varsity Bears accumulated 11 hits in the game. Duncan, the number seven hitter for Monroe Central Varsity Bears, led the way with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Hood went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Monroe Central Varsity Bears in hits. Brannan and Davis each collected multiple hits for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Monroe Central Varsity Bears had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Ailey Moon and Dumpert led the team with two bases on balls each.
