The Jr High Football team traveled to Southern Wells and came home with their first win of the season with a final score of 20 to 14. The Bears took the opening drive to the end zone and completed the 2 point conversion for a 8 to 0 lead. The Bears added a second score in the second quarter offset by a Southern Wells score and a great defensive stand by the Bears to end the first half with a 14 to 8 lead. The 3rd quarter was a defensive battle and the Bears scored late in the 4th to go up 20 to 8 only to give up a Southern Wells TD with just over a minute left. Great effort on both sides of the ball. The Bears return to action next Wednesday as they face Driver.
