6th Grade: 6th Grade beat Shenandoah in 2 set 25-19 & 26-25. Great effort by all the girls for the first game of the season. Next game is at home Sept 4th at home 5:30. 7th Grade: Monroe Central 7th Grade Lady Bears Defeat Shenandoah in Straight Sets The Monroe Central 7th Grade Lady Bears earned an impressive victory over a strong Shenandoah team, winning in straight sets, 25-20 and 25-21. All 14 Lady Bears contributed to the hard-fought win. Maybrey Cheesman led from the service line with 6 aces, while also adding 2 assists and a dig. Alexa Tinsman had a strong all-around performance with 3 digs, 3 kills, and 1 ace. Delainee Whitehead powered in 4 aces and picked up 3 digs, while Ellie Lanter contributed 3 kills and 1 ace. Blakely Burge helped run the offense with 3 assists and added a dig on defense. Adelyn Pugsley chipped in with 2 digs, and Harper Whitehead scored 1 ace to round out the team’s balanced effort. The Lady Bears showed depth and teamwork throughout the match, as every player played a role in securing the win. 8th Grade: Lost in two sets.
