The Bears put up a fight against the Falcons Monday night in the first round of sectionals. They lost 17-8 after a comeback and were trailing by 2. Aubrey Johnson went 2-5 with an RBI. Whitley Martin went 2-5 with 2 doubles and one run scored. Tessa Chesher went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Jayme Brannan went 2-4. Kate Brown went 1-2 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Ava Pohl went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Caylie Newsome went 1-4 with a run scored. Miriam Fortriede went 1-4 with an RBI. Autumn Stine drew 2 walks in both her at bats. Tessa Chesher pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts.
