The Golden Bears Varsity volleyball team traveled to Randolph Southern tonight for the opening round of the Randolph County Tournament. The Golden Bears showed up with the right mindset and were able to advance to the semi-final round of the tournament with a 3-1 win with scores of 25-17, 25-12, 19-25 and 25-8. Some great stats from the Golden Bears were from Freshman Mckenna Murphy with 11 kills, 1 dig and 1 reception. Senior Hadley Hendrickson with 13 kills, 3 aces, 8 digs, 2 assists and 6 receptions. Senior Shyan Bennett had 6 kills, 2 aces, 1 block, 13 digs and 14 receptions. Freshman Maylynn Morrison had 8 kills, 4 aces, 2 digs and 1 reception. The MC Bears advance to the semi-final round of the Randolph County Tournament where they will play Union City at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday (9/27/25) at the Winchester Fieldhouse.
