6th Grade: Lady Bears hosted Southern Wells at our last home game and won in 2 sets ( 25-21,25-23) . All players on the roster saw action and contributed to the victory, showing the team’s depth and unity. The Lady Bears now improve their season record to 5-3. Hailey Grove led the team with 5 aces, Jovie Dunlap 4 aces, Berkeley Taylor 2 aces, Jillian Goad and Cora Greene both added 1 ace each. Emma Guylette showed some great play at the net! Next and last game of the season will be on the road at Wes-Del with a start of 5:30. Come out and support these lovely girls for their last game. 7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th Grade Lady Bears defended their home court with a dominant win over the Southern Wells Raiders, taking the match in straight sets (25-12, 25-4). It was a complete team effort, as everyone on the roster contributed to the victory. Blakely Burge led the way with 6 aces, 6 assists, and 2 kills. Delainee Whitehead added 5 aces, 1 kill, and 1 dig, while Alexa Tinsman powered down 4 kills. Ellie Lanter chipped in 2 kills and 1 assist. Mabrey Cheesman set up the offense with 2 assists and added 1 ace. Harper Whitehead held strong on defense with 1 dig, Kendall Johnson contributed 1 kill, and Amelia Brown recorded 1 ace. Amaryah Lloyd also made her mark with 3 great passes. The Lady Bears improve to 12-3 on the season and will head into the MEC Tournament this Saturday. 8th Grade: Coming soon!
