The Monroe Central Middle School Baseball Team bested Winchester Middle School in a double header on Wednesday. The first game saw the Golden Bears getting off to an early start, scoring the first couple runs on a Triple from Myles Oliphant. Oliphant finished with 3 RBIs while also pitching, giving up no hits with 4Ks in two innings and powering Monroe Central to a 9-1 Victory. The second game had the Golden Bears once again scoring in the first on a 2 RBI Single from Jed Fergusan. Mccreery then shut down Winchester on the mound with 2ks and no hits allowed. Monroe Central would then have a 14 run second inning, hitting through the lineup multiple times. The Golden Bears would go on to win the second game 21-1, marking a new season high for runs and pitching a combined no hitter from Mccreery, Fergusan, and Baker.
