JH grapplers go 2-1 in triple-dual

Thursday night at Randolph Southern, Monroe Central’s Junior High Wrestling team finished 2-1 in a triple dual meet. MC fell just short to¬†Northeastern, 24-18. Winning by pin was Jonah Jones. Combs, Poole named to IFCA Region 5 All-Star team

Congratulations to Monroe Central seniors Beau Combs and Kyle Poole for being selected to the Indiana Football Coaches Association Region 5 All-Star team. It is my understanding this makes them a candidate for the North-South All-Star game.

JH wrestlers win 2 out of 3 in 4 team event

Monroe Central’s JH wrestling team traveled to Selma Thursday night for a 4-way meet with the host Raiders, Union City and Daleville. MC defeated Daleville on a match won by criteria after a 42-42 deadlock in scoring. Winning by pin at the meet were Hunter Page, Peyton Tinsman, Joel Kennedy, Brady Hiatt, and Jordan Willen.
