Selma sweeps MC JH Boys

Both middle school games were a battle Thursday night, but in the end Selma pulled away to sweep Monroe Central. In the 7th grade game, Selma used a strong 4th quarter to pull away to a 37-24 win over the Bears. Leading scorers for MC were Caden Shumaker with 11 and Landon Patterson with 9.

Tri takes down MC Wrestlers

Forfeiting four weight classes Wednesday night, Monroe Central fell to Tri High School, 54-27. Winners for the Bears where Hunter Tinsman, Tyler Jones, Sheldon Stigelman, Mason Huser, and Kameron Armour, Monroe Central moves to 8-5 on the season. The Bears are back at it next Tuesday at  home against Daleville.

JH Ladies sweep Daleville

Tuesday night at Daleville, Monroe Central’s 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams both collected wins. For the 7th grade it was their first victory of the year as they defeated Daleville by a 19-12 count. The leading scorer was Ashley Reynolds with 10 points as the team improved to 1-3.
