CC hosts almost 700 runners in invite

The girls and boys cross country teams hosted The Meister Family Memorial Run this past Saturday with nearly 700 runners. The places for each MC Lady Golden Bear Runner were: Aubrey Norris, 19th overall, 22:14.8. Abrea Gaddis, 35th overall, 23:11.4. Kaylie Johnston, 46th overall, 23:32.8. Marissa Huddleston, 75th overall, 25:20.4. The boys placed eighth in the meet.

Bears open up with 46-10 victory over Bulldogs

Monroe Central rushed out to a 38-0 lead en route to a 46-10 victory over Centerville last Friday. Cameron Armour led the way with a pair of scores, while Tyler Writtenhouse, Nick Mitchell, Wyatt Snyder, Josh Randall, and Jansen Blevins all got in on the scoring act. Volleyball beat Burris, now 2-0

The Lady Bears got their first-ever school victory in volleyball over Muncie Burris. The Lady Bears won over the Burris Owls in 5 games by scores, 25-22, 20-25, 26-24, 16-25, and 15-11. Lady Bears fall to Centerville

In just their 3rd time on the course, the young Lady Bear golf team fell to Centerville 268-200.  The low score turned in came from sophomore Kinzie Williams with a 65.  The team will be on their home course next Tuesday when they host Richmond and Winchester. 

Car Show, free concert this Saturday

As part of the Community Day there will be many activities including a car show and free afternoon concert. See the accompanying flier for more details. 

FB Scrimmage Friday vs. New Castle

This Friday football fans will get their first glimpse at the Bears as they host New Castle in a scrimmage at MC at 6 p.m. The regular season will start the following week at MC when Centerville comes to town for a 7 p.m. game. 

Season Passes now on sale

The Monroe Central Athletic Department is now selling athletic season passes. Between now and October 15 students can get a discounted for $25 (originally $40). Lady Bears fall to Union Co

MC’s young girls golf team fell to Union County Wednesday at Hickory Hills, 193-251. It was their second meet of the year after competing in the Union Invitational. Low medalist for the bears was Cassi Buis with a 61.
