JH Ladies record 10 PR’s in loss to Driver

The Monroe Central junior high cross country teams ran at Goodrich Park yesterday against Driver Middle School. The girls team fell to the Lady Hawks despite running well with 10 of 13 having personal best times. Karly Puckett was the top finisher for the Bears with her third place PR finish.  Emma Formanek finished 7th.

Lady Bears place 4th advance to Regional

This past Saturday morning, Monroe Central’s girls cross country team placed 4th out of 7 teams in the Sectional and advanced to next weekend’s Delta Regional. The Monroe Central girls cross country team participated in the George Rogers Clark Invitational in Springfield, Ohio this past Saturday. The girls placed 10th out 12 teams. The junior high cross country teams ran in the Selma Invitational on Friday evening.  The girls’ team finished 6th of 14 teams.   Karly Puckett earned an individual medal with her 15th place finish.  Emma Formanek placed 37th in that race.   The teams will run again on Thursday at East Jay.

The Monroe Central girls and boys cross country teams participated at the South Adams Invitational Saturday in Berne. The girls placed 4th in the meet out of 12 teams with a score of 153.
