7th grade Bears now 18-0 after 65-13 win

And the beat goes on. Monroe Central’s 7th grade boys basketball team improved to 18-0 tonight with a 65-13 victory over Union. Everyone on the team scored while leading the way were Luke Jones with 22, Joseph Foster with 16, and Blake Bogue with 10. MC hosts Randolph Southern next Monday.

JH Bears sweep Lapel; 7th and 8th grade now 13-0

Monroe Central’s junior high boys basketball teams traveled to Lapel Tuesday night and claimed two more victories. The 7th grade Bears defeated the Bulldogs, 49-46. Will Jones led a balanced attack with 19 points, while Joey Ullom had 11, Blake Bogue scored 9, and with 8 was Joseph Foster. The 8th grade also won, 47-31.

Monroe Central Jr High boys basketball kept their wining streak going Wednesday night with two more wins against Hagerstown. The 7th graders won 39-31 in a fairly close game. Monroe Central’s JH Bears swept a pair of boys basketball games at Yorktown Thursday night. The 7th grade won 48-26 over the Tigers.
