MC grapplers defeat Daleville

Monroe Central’s Wrestling team defeated Daleville tonight, 55-23. Winners for MC were Hunter Tinsman,Griffin Heckman,Tyler Jones, Austin Leonard, Julian Franklin, Sheldon Stigleman, Jackson Franklin, Mason Huser, and Cole Osgood. The Wrestling Bears move to 9-5 on the season. The Bears are at Selma for the Raider Rumble this Saturday at 9 a.m.

Tri takes down MC Wrestlers

Forfeiting four weight classes Wednesday night, Monroe Central fell to Tri High School, 54-27. Winners for the Bears where Hunter Tinsman, Tyler Jones, Sheldon Stigelman, Mason Huser, and Kameron Armour, Monroe Central moves to 8-5 on the season. The Bears are back at it next Tuesday at  home against Daleville.

JV Wrestlers go 2-8 Friday night

Blackford was the host to nearly 160 junior varsity wrestlers Friday night – not in an invitational but in an opportunity to get more matches in. Monroe Central’s Cole Osgood (195) and Jackson Franklin (145) each posted 1-1 records during the night. Griffin Heckman (120), Julian Franklin (132), and Gregg Yuknavage (170) each posted 0-2

MC wrestlers beat BRV; Driskill gets 100th win

Monroe Central wrestlers traveled to Blue River Thursday night and won 51-12. Winning for MC are Hunter Tinsman, Griffin Heckman, Tyler Jones, Lucas Muzzarelli, Sheldon Stigelman, Mason Huser, Gregg Yuknavage, Kameron Armour, and Cole Osgood. Coach Kevin Driskill reached his 100th team win tonight. The Bears move to 8-4. Monroe Central host Tri Wednesday, December 9.

MC wrestlers go 2-3 at Knightstown; Tinsman now 11-0

The Monroe Central varsity wrestling team went 2-3 at the Knightstown Invitational last weekend. The Bears fell to Eastern Hancock 66-18; defeated Union County, 42-36; beat Randolph Southern, 54-18; and lost to Knightstown 66-18 and Connersville 54-21. Bears take Bronco Super Dual title, finish 5-0

The Bears came out on top at the Daleville Super Duals this past Saturday, going 5-0 on the day. Monroe Central defeated Northeastern 36-30; Blue River 66-12; Wapahani 57-18; Hagerstown 42-36; and Daleville 52-21.
